Hi this is Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, we would like to welcome you. Today I'll be teaching you fundamental techniques from tae kwon do at the white belt level and we'll be beginning with the low outer forearm block. It's important that you learn first how to properly make a fist. So you'll extend your right hand, roll your knuckles under completely and then taking your thumb, cover the first two knuckles of your fist. That protects these two knuckles and braces them for impact because this is your striking surface. You're going to have your hand right in front of you waist, feet shoulder width apart, arm are relaxed. You're going to take your right hand, palm up, left hand palm down, make sure that the right hand is on top and very slowly you'll rotate your right palm to the center of your left thigh. Make sure your elbow is slightly bent. Again, right hand palm up, left hand palm down, slow to the front. Normal speed. Again. And with the left. And we'll be back.
