Well, the Sitar feels like a daunting instrument at first because there are so many strings, so many frets. Just teaching your hand where to go can be totally intimidating but never fear there are building block exercises that will lead you on the way to proficiency. First, I am going to demonstrate in major scale. I am going to play all the notes on the neck that you can produce starting on the second string. We usually play mostly this string.
