So someone asked this question:
Dear Jonathan, I know I will sound like a big dummy, but I have watched a few videos on TellMehowToDoThis.com, and I think it's a little advanced for me. To be honest, I don't even know how to copy and paste. I know it's probably simple for you, but I don't get how you are doing it. Sorry for being ignorant, Joseph.
Joseph man, you're not being ignorant. It's not a big deal. There lots of people who don't know how to do lots of stuff on their computer(s). That's why this website exists. So, let me show you how to copy and paste.
If you are using a PC, on your mouse there are actually two buttons. Now these are represented here as orange and blue, and most often you use your orange mouse button. But if you want to, you can also use your blue mouse button and it will give you a set of options. So let's go check this out. Now I'm on the website, obviously, www.google.com.
Now there's not a lot of text here, but let's just say I really love this text and I really want to copy and paste this text. So I take make Google your home page right? Now, rather than clicking on it I highlighted the whole thing. I right click and it opens up this menu of things. One of the menu options is copy. So I copy it. So now I can go to a program like Microsoft Word, and I can go into here and go paste, and now I've got this inside of Microsoft Word. That's it, pretty simple. Let's say I wanted to grab little longer block of text. So let's go to the new search and see if we can find an article that maybe we like, (that) you want to grab some text from.
So this article, "China is weighing tough measures versus North Korea." It's in the Washington Post. I go to the Washington Post website. I say okay, well let's say, I just really like these two paragraphs right here. Well, I will go ahead and copy just those two paragraphs. Go, right click and go copy, and then put them in Word by going paste. And that's it. So just remember, in order to get that menu of cut or copy and paste, all I did was use my right mouse button, and it will give me a whole other set of menu options. There's also another video here on TellMeHowToDoThis.com, where it will show you how to get rid of these little blue links. Let's say you don't want these little links in your text. Well, we're going to show you how to do that as well
Thank you for visiting us at TellMeHowToDoThis.com. Feel free to ask any questions you want; there is no such thing as being ignorant. The only ignorant person is the person who does not ask the questions. So, thank you for asking, and we're happy to do the video for you. Hope it's been helpful!
