The best place to do this is actually in the shower because actually your pores open up and the warmth from the water actually gives your skin a little bit more of a protective layer, but if you want to do it outside it's fine as well because it removes a lot of dead skin. You just want to apply it gently in a circular motion because that's the best way to remove any unneeded. After you're done with the process you just want to rinse it off with cool water and then add a moisturizer all over wherever you exfoliated just to protect your skin.
