This short ShowMeHowToDoThis.com presentation is going to show you how to turn off Trackbacks in your Movable Type installation.

So, from time to time, you will get these unapproved Trackbacks on your installation of Movable Type. Now I have just decided that I am going to shut them off. Unfortunately, but I get so much TrackBack spam and I know there are different ways to get rid of that, but I get so much TrackBack spam and I just do not want to deal with it anymore.

So what I have decided to do is to shut off my Trackbacks in Movable Type, and here is how you do it. Inside of your Movable Type installation, go ahead and click on settings. Settings will take you to the General tab and then click on the new entry defaults, right up here, and then you can click accept TrackBacks. Do you want to accept Trackbacks? No. I do not want to accept Trackbacks. So you can go ahead and click save changes, and you have now turned off Trackbacks for your Movable Type installation.
